How long does the transfer take?
The Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) sits at Circular Quay, roughly 13 kilometres north of Sydney Airport. In normal traffic the drive is around 20 to 25 minutes via the Eastern Distributor and the Cahill Expressway. During peak periods, allow 30 to 40 minutes.
We time the pickup so you arrive at the terminal with room to check in and board without rushing, and plan the route around the traffic on the day.
Cruise luggage and vehicles
Cruise passengers typically travel with more luggage than a standard airport transfer. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Sprinter have the boot and cabin space to keep large suitcases, carry-on bags and the whole group together in one vehicle.
Your chauffeur loads and unloads at both ends. If you have bulky items or a pram, let us know when you book and we match the vehicle.
Return pickup after your cruise
We also handle the return. Tell us your ship, the scheduled dock time and your destination, and the chauffeur is waiting at the terminal when you disembark. Flight connections after a cruise are timed the same way as a standard airport departure.
Fees and surcharges
Complimentary waiting at the airport is 20 minutes for domestic arrivals and 60 minutes for international. Airport parking is additional: $19.99 domestic, $26.10 international plus a $44 collection fee at the international terminal. Road tolls are charged after the transfer. Bookings between 10:00 pm and 4:45 am carry a 30% after-hours surcharge. Child seats are available at $22 per seat.
