Travelling with young children in Sydney does not mean juggling car seats in a taxi rank. We fit the correct child restraint before pickup, matched to your child's age and size, so the whole family travels safely and stress-free.
Child restraints we carry
We supply three types of child restraint, each matched to a stage of growth. A rearward-facing baby capsule is used from birth to around six months. A convertible child seat, which can face rearward or forward depending on age, covers roughly six months to four years. A booster seat with a seatbelt guide is used from four to seven years.
Under NSW child restraint law, children under seven must travel in an approved restraint appropriate to their age and size. Children under six months must be in a rearward-facing capsule, those aged six months to four years must be in a rearward- or forward-facing child seat with an inbuilt harness, and children aged four to seven must use a forward-facing seat or booster. Boosters are recommended until a child reaches 145 cm in height, even beyond the age of seven. There is no exemption for hire cars or chauffeur vehicles, and we treat the law as a minimum.
Seats fitted before pickup
When you request a child seat, your chauffeur fits and checks it before arriving at your door. The restraint is anchored and adjusted for the vehicle before the trip begins, so there is no fumbling at the kerb while your children wait. Tell us each child's age when you book and we select the right seat type.
If you travel with us regularly, we keep your children's details on file so the correct seats are prepared every time without a separate request.
Airport transfers with children
Flying into Sydney with young children is tiring enough without worrying about transport on the other side. We monitor your flight in real time and adjust the pickup if you land early or late. Your chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals hall, helps with bags and prams, and walks you to the vehicle where the child seats are already fitted.
Complimentary waiting after landing is 20 minutes for domestic arrivals and one hour ten minutes for international arrivals, which covers immigration, baggage and the slower pace of travelling with little ones.
School runs and regular family travel
For families who need a reliable school run, activity drop-off or regular medical appointment, a recurring booking keeps the same chauffeur, the same vehicle and the same child seat arrangement each time. Your children travel with a driver they recognise, and you know the restraints are correct without checking every trip.
Regular bookings can be set up as a standing arrangement through our team. Adjust days or times as the term changes.
Family days out and events
Whether it is a wedding with flower girls and page boys, a family day trip to the Hunter Valley, or a restaurant outing where you would rather not drive, the child seats travel with you and are ready in the vehicle when you are. For weddings, the chauffeur works to your photographer's timeline and waits while you celebrate.
Which vehicles fit child seats
The number of child seats a vehicle can carry depends on its rear-seat layout. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the most flexible, fitting two to three child seats with room for adults alongside. The Audi Q7 comfortably fits two child seats in its second row. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter handles larger families with multiple seats across its rows.
Luxury sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series fit one child seat on the rear bench, which suits a couple travelling with one young child. For two or more child seats, we recommend the V-Class or Q7.
How to request a child seat
When you book online or call 1300 665 045, tell us the number and ages of the children travelling. We select and fit the correct restraint for each child before the chauffeur arrives. If you prefer to bring your own seat, let us know and the chauffeur will install it in the vehicle.
Child seats are $22 per seat, charged in addition to the transfer fare.
Frequently asked questions
Do you provide baby capsules?
Yes. We carry rearward-facing baby capsules suitable for newborns to around six months. The capsule is fitted and checked in the vehicle before your chauffeur arrives at your door.
Can I bring my own child seat?
Yes. Let us know when you book and your chauffeur will install it in the vehicle before departure. We recommend checking that the seat is compatible with an ISOFIX or seatbelt anchorage before the trip.
Is a child seat legally required in a chauffeur car in NSW?
Yes. NSW law requires children under seven to travel in an approved child restraint appropriate to their age and size. There is no exemption for hire cars, taxis or chauffeur vehicles.
How many child seats fit in one car?
It depends on the vehicle. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class fits up to three child seats, the Audi Q7 fits two comfortably, and luxury sedans fit one on the rear bench. For three or more seats, the V-Class or Sprinter is usually the best choice.
Do I need to book in advance for a child seat?
Yes. Request a child seat when you book so the correct seat type is fitted and safety-checked before pickup. We cannot guarantee seat availability for last-minute requests.
